Terms
Terms and Conditions
The basis on which we prepare and manage your application, including how the instalment plan works.
Last updated [date]. Please read these terms before you pay. By paying for a service you agree to them.
1. What we do
1.1 Redress Success is an independent private service. We are not the National Redress Scheme, we are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with either.
1.2 We prepare and lodge National Redress Scheme applications on your instructions. We do not provide legal advice, and we do not decide applications or guarantee any outcome or amount.
1.3 Applying to the Scheme is free. You are paying us to prepare your application, and you are free to apply yourself at any time.
2. Payments
2.1 All fees are payable by PayID to the PayID and account name shown at checkout. Please include your reference number with every payment.
2.2 Work on your matter begins once your first payment has been received.
2.3 Instalment plan. If you choose the instalment plan, you agree to pay five instalments of $100. The first is due when you sign up and each later instalment is due 30 days after the previous one. The total cost is $500.
2.4 Making each payment on time is your responsibility. We will send a reminder by email and SMS if an instalment has not been received by its due date, but not receiving a reminder does not change when a payment is due.
2.5 If an instalment is still unpaid 7 days after the reminder is sent, we may cancel your service without further notice. If your service is cancelled, amounts you have already paid will not be refunded, we will stop work on your matter, and your records will be dealt with under our Privacy Policy.
2.6 If your application has already been filed when your service is cancelled, the application remains with the Scheme, but we will no longer manage it or communicate with the Scheme on your behalf.
2.7 Our fees are fixed. We never take any part of a redress payment.
2.8 Ineligibility refund. If we assess that you are not eligible for the Scheme before any work is done, we refund your payment in full.
3. Your responsibilities
3.1 Everything you give us must be true and your own. We help you say it clearly; we will never make anything up, and we will not file an account you have not confirmed.
3.2 You agree to review the draft we send you and to tell us about anything that is wrong or missing.
4. Cancellation
4.1 You may stop at any time by telling us in writing. Amounts already paid are not refunded once work on your matter has begun.
4.2 We may decline or stop acting for you if we cannot properly prepare your application, or if we believe material is being presented that is not true.
5. Privacy
5.1 We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy. Your records are deleted when your matter ends unless you ask us to keep them.
6. Limits of our responsibility
6.1 To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim connected with our services is limited to the fees you have paid us.
6.2 Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
7. Changes and contact
7.1 We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time you pay applies to your matter.
7.2 Questions about these terms: use our contact form.
